Cookbook spreads
In my second semester as a graphic design student, I saw the most development with learning technical skills. This cookbook spread from my first typography class was one of those projects to help develop those skills.
We were given a folder with various components to a specific recipe create two spreads. I was given Korean Style Chicken Thighs and Chicken Teriyaki Bowls (yum!)
I did some type studies to see what typefaces would convey the right style for the recipes.
There was a ton of feedback when developing the composition.
Once I had a concrete composition, I focused on the color palette.
